Bass Phillip Village Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says
Slightly unpolished, this delicious young pinot has a heady, perfumed bouquet of rose garden fragrances, raspberries and sweet red cherries over subtle suggestions of caramel and spearmint. Round and sumptuous, its juicy and slightly confectionary expression of pristine pinot flavour is long and luscious, supported by fine and supple tannins. It finishes with characteristically soft acids.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Light colour; a firm wine with spicy/savoury flavours, not especially complex, but is long in the mouth.

Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
Very silky and intensely flavoured pinot with shape and balance. Its smoky, briary and slightly confectionary aromas of plums, dark cherries and vanilla/cedar oak precede a smooth and vibrant palate bursting with intense fruits. It finishes savoury, with meaty undertones.
