2004 was a cracking year for Barolo, and this one does not dissappoint at the price. Appealing scents of fragrant red berries, figs, anise spice and toasted vanilla decorate the nose, whilst the palate is medium-bodied and juicy with frisky plum and cherry flavours, solid tannins and a long, lush finish. It will kick on over the next 10-years plus, but give it some air and it will be good to go with roasted red meats.
The renowned vineyard 'Cerequio' in La Morra, takes its name from the tiny 'Bourg' or hamlet which borders the town of Barolo. It is considered one of the most historical vineyards for the production of Barolo.
Intense garnet red. Ethereal nose and palate of rose petals & spice with hints of Tobacco, mint and chocolate. Balanced, rich plums flavors, with a long, silky finish.
Best served at 18-20C. Ideal for accompanying roasted meats and aged cheeses.
