Bathe Rose

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

What could be more summery than a juicy Shiraz based rose? This light and airy little number comes from sunny McLaren Vale, which is a great place to not only grow grapes to make rose, but also to drink the stuff.

Winemaker's Notes

The Bathe Rosé is Shiraz based, with a dash of dry Chardonnay in the blend. I love it for its richness, crisp berry flavours and its fabulous colour in the glass. Made by Michael Paxton, the fruit (fittingly for Bathe) is harvested from a vineyard close to the coast in McLaren Vale (in fact close to Maslin's Beach).

A floral nose of rose petal and ripe red berries carries over to a deliciously savoury palate with the length and structure of the wine contributed in part by the small percentage of Chardonnay in the blend.
