WINESTATE (2010 Vintage) says
Classic '90s style with obvious oak influence on the nose and good mouthwatering acid interest on the palate mingling with nutty/honeyed notes.
WINESTATE Volume 34 (2011) 2011
Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
A nice attempt at complex, solids-derived winemaking funk on the nose here, with some grilled hazelnuts, lemon peel, melon and stone fruits - gentle oak toast to boot. The palate's smooth and supple: ripe fruit flavours are nicely contained amid fresh, fleshy texture.
The Good Wine Guide 2012
Jeremy Oliver (2009 Vintage) says
Chardonnay with shape and cut. Complex aromas of grapefruit, melon and struck match whose smoky undertones of iodine and briny oyster shell, reveal earthy and meaty complexity. It's long, lean and racy, with generous flavours of grapefruit, quince and cumquat tightened with fine shape and focus, finishing with bright fruit, fresh acids and a lingering slatey aspect.
