Cracka Review

According to the mantra at Beresford, they make intensely passionate wines and one sip of this generous Shiraz and that is clear to see. It ticks all the boxes for a quaffer, it’s balanced, shows varietal typicity and pairs brilliantly with roast beef ad all the trimmings. It’s the kind of wine your friends will thank you for sharing with them as it goes down all too easily. Expect a nose that’s full of dark berry and plum before a rich palate of dark fruits, soft tannins and a surprisingly long finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Vibrant deep plum with purple hues.

Nose: Lifted dark berry and plum characters with hints of spice.

Palate: Sweet, rich, dark berry fruits with plum undertones finishing with soft, firm tannins.

Food: Sticky hoisin and sesame pork cutlets with broccolini.

Alcohol: 14.8%

Peter Forrestal (2004 Vintage) says
There's minty characters as well as red berries, mid-palate softness and slightly grippy tannins to finish.
