Beresford Beacon Hill Unwooded Chardonnay

Expert Reviews

Max Allen & Peter Forrestal (2002 Vintage) says
Chalk and cheese, as the saying goes. It would be difficult to imagine two more different wines than the Moondah Brook (above) and this. The Beacon Hill looks much more like a wooded than an unwooded chardonnay, with heaps of oak-like aromas, and marzipan, honeycomb and butterscotch flavours. This has been worked and every winemaking trick in the book thrown at it. Some will love it: certainly it's a wine with character. Vive la difference!
