Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
An unusual feature is gossamer-like tannins woven throughout the medium-bodied palate, gently supporting the expressive cassis/blackcurrant fruit
Australian Wine Companion 2008 2007
James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Potent, brooding, powerful black fruits; hallmark slightly dry tannins needing infinite patience.
Australian Wine Companion 2006 2005
James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; blackberry, blackcurrant and earth aromas foreshadow a ripe, full-bodied palate with abundant blackberry fruit and persistent tannins. Should richly repay extended cellaring.
Australian Wine Companion 2004 2003
James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple, with a fair bit of gas showing in the glass. The clean, moderately intense bouquet is not as concentrated as the Shiraz, and the palate has a mix of red berry, cassis and blackberry, but is well adrift of the prior releases. I don't know what is going on here.
