Best's Great Western Old Clone Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
An intriguing wine that exhibits a cornucopia of spicy red fruits, cold tea, bramble, whole bunch complexity and ultimately silky structure; there is no lack of personality from this venerable old clone, and the acidity and ample levels of fine-grained tannin will see a long and healthy future; though the style may not be to every pinot lovers taste, none should pass the opportunity to try this wine.

Has moved from a dry red-styled pinot into a tidy varietal five spice red fruited stalky wine with silky ripe red fruit flavours and velvety tannins with a touch of stalk tannin.

Slightly lighter, brighter colour than the standard wine; a very different style, with elegance and precision to the fragrant bouquet and vibrant palate; has lovely red fruit and spice flavours and perfect texture.
