Expert Reviews

Jeremy Oliver (2012 Vintage) says
Round and juicy, this generous, warm and spicy chardonnay has a faintly spirity, sweetly-fruited bouquet of peaches and cream, buttery vanilla oak and a hint of black tea. Assertively oaked, with a long, uncomplicated palate, it finishes soft and smooth.

A generous peachy style, lifted and sustained by citrussy acidity on the finish; the Eden Valley component is a distinct plus.

Made in the older style, with a big oaky nose and powerful palate with incredible flavour length.

Abundant peachy/stone fruit flavours, the oak influence minimal, but evident. Barossa Valley/Eden Valley

Flavoursome peach and nectarine; simple, unpretentious, but reasonably well-balanced.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; the oak input is evident but quite well integrated on the bouquet, and, if anything, even more evident on the palate. A fast-developing style with smooth fruit, but the question remains whether a lighter touch with the oak might not produce a better wine.
