Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Highly aromatic, almost floral bouquet; intense grapefruit, white peach and nectarine, a subtle glow of French oak in the background; seriously nice wine.
Australian Wine Companion 2007 2006
James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Fragrant, cool-grown nectarine and citrus bouquet; unexpectedly sweet and supple fruit on entry to the palate, tightened up by acidity on the finish; subtle oak throughout.

Ken Gargett (2004 Vintage) says
Try ordering a bottle of Bidgeebong Tumbarumba after a few drinks. Winemaker Andrew Birks cut his vinous teeth on the great old reds of Wendouree in the Clare ValleyÑa million miles from high-altitude chardy, but looking at the results to date you'd never know. This is a tightly focused, restrained chardy with traces of citrus. Nothing overblown here. I think you could say Tumbarumba no matter how many drinks
Don't Buy Wine Without Me 2007 2007
James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Aromatic and fresh bouquet; grapefruit and melon flavours; bright mouthfeel, subliminal oak.
Australian Wine Companion 2006 2005
James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Light green-yellow; the clean bouquet has a range of citrussy, minerally and grassy aromas, with the barest whiff of oak lurking in the background. The citrussy/minerally palate is definitively cool-grown, and should handsomely repay cellaring, but needs a little more generosity.
