Bimbadgen Estate Botrytis Semillon

Expert Reviews

Tyson Stelzer (2007 Vintage) says
One of the best botrytis semillons out of the Hunter this year, here's a wine made with precision and care. Honeyed sweetness is perfectly married to zesty acidity and great concentration of marmalade and dried apricot fruit, with a dab of regional lanolin on the side. A wine of poise and line, with flavour carrying long into the finish.
James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Good level of botrytis with marmalade and creamed apricot on the bouquet; sweet and sugary on the finish.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
A strong citrus element cuts through the centre of lively, sweet and luscious fruits; fine, even and fresh on the finish.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Considerable intensity and length of flavour; well made and well balanced; luscious fruit off-set by crisp acid. From Griffith.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Surprisingly direct; very sweet lemony fruit, the acidity still to integrate back into the palate.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Deep golden-yellow; an array of rich cumquat, pineapple and peach aromas flow through directly into the palate, which has good balancing acidity, and little or no oak evident. From the Yenda vineyard.
