Cracka Review

I've got to tell you - while the Hunter is well known for Shiraz, Semillon and Chardonnay - Verdelho is without doubt one of the unsung heroes. This is textbook - with fruit salience aromas, mid weight, not a smudge of oak and finishing fresh and bright. Summer drinking at its best.

Winemaker's Notes

The Bimbadgen Estate range of wines consists of classic and emerging varietals crafted from fruit sourced within the Hunter Valley, Australia's oldest wine region.

The Verdelho exhibits a bouquet of tropical fruit with a hint of ginger spice. The palate is alive with fresh exotic fruit flavours and a touch of lemon citrus. An ideal accompaniment to salads or roast port, this Verdelho is created in a style that is best enjoyed when fresh and lively.

Well made, and with plenty of varietal fruit salad flavours; a twist of minerally/lemony acidity rounds it off.

Unexpected length and flavour; a tangy, citrus cast with a faint flick of residual sugar.

Light green-yellow; a clean and fresh bouquet with light fruit salad and citrus aromas leads into a lively, crisp and tangy palate with some length; very well made, almost turning a sow's ear into a silk purse.
