Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
This single-vineyard, North Canterbury red is from vines planted in 1994. The 2009 vintage hand-picked at 24.6 brix and fermented with indigenous yeasts, was matured for 15 months in French oak barrels (only 6 per cent new). Enticingly floral and supple, it is intensely varietal. Ruby-hued, with rich, ripe cherry, plum and herb flavours, a gentle seasoning of oak and a silky texture, it shows impressive complexity and harmony.

Michael Cooper (2007 Vintage) says
This is a single-vineyard, North Canterbury label. The 2007 vintage, fermented with indigenous yeasts and barrel-aged for 10 months (30 per cent new), is deeply coloured, with vibrant cherry and herb flavours, generous and supple. It shows good concentration, but the leafy notes detract.
