Bleasdale Potts Family Shiraz Cabernet

Expert Reviews

Max Allen & Peter Forrestal (1998 Vintage) says
The Potts family recently celebrated a very impressive 150 years of winemaking at their Bleasedale winery in Langhorne Creek. Rather generous of them, then, to sell a wine named in their collective multigenerational honour for a mere fourteen bucks. Then again, the great value of Bleasedale red wines has been a bit of a badly-kept secret for a while...guess the secret's out now, though! This wine is for lovers of sweetly oaky, very ripe, hedonistic South Australian red wine: it's like diving into a lamington, with flavours of rich chocolate, coconutty oak and a soft, round, comforting texture. If you like that style, you'll love this.
