James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; a wantonly, explosively juicy palate is filled to overflowing with grapefruit and white peach fruit which has contemptuously swallowed the French oak in which it was fermented and matured. Sheer hedonistic pleasure.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Has built-in complexity from the bouquet through to the finish; cashew and fig characters accompany the stone fruit at the core of the wine; the oak is well integrated.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
A complex bouquet with obvious barrel ferment inputs; powerful nectarine and white peach fruit drives the long palate, oak playing second fiddle.

James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Ripe peach and stone fruit aromas and flavours; subtle oak, good length.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Very good balance, flavour and mouthfeel; ripe melon and stone fruit; subtle oak infusion.
Australian Wine Companion 2005 2004
James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Medium to full yellow-green, somewhat advanced; a concentrated bouquet with toasty/nutty/figgy/melon aromas, and a commensurately rich palate with good texture and layered flavours of fig, melon, nectarine and nuts with a creamy feel. Shows the concentration of a tiny vintage: only five barrels were made.
