Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
Striking fl orals here: this has alluring, lilting purple flowers, blue fruits and some smart oak spice also in the mix; very bright, gentle cedar and pouch tobacco too. The palate s very pure, showing lovely ripeness, and layered sheets of fine tannin suggest reliable ageing is on offer. Plum flavour throughout. Terrific wine.

Wine's a moving target - every time you open a bottle, or pour another glass, it will taste slightly different from the time before. This wine tasted better every time we returned to it; if you open one in the next year, decant it prior to drinking. Fresh and well weighted with good balance and length. This has all the bases of a fine wine covered. It has lovely oak treatment too - its flavours already meshing with the grape-derived notes of blackberry, plum, menthol and fragrant pipe tobacco. It's medium-bodied with supple fine-grained tannins and a kind of drawing-room charm. It doesn't quite fill all the corners of the mouth, but given time to mature, we reckon it will. Lovely.
