Bodegas Chivite Pago de Arinzano Gran Vino Red

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

From an epic Spanish vintage, this more musclebound Stallone number is a force to be reckoned with! There's an abundence of ripe, dark, brooding fruits on the nose, intermingled with red cherries, soft spices and woody notes. The palate is fullsome and quite rich, with dense spiced cherry flavours, fine but slightly chewy tannins, poised acidity, and a grand finale of red berries and toast. It's got plenty of life left in it, but give it a few hours of air and some red meat and it will be good to go!

Winemaker's Notes

Deep color, with intense garnet. Intense and complex to the nose, very subtle predominantly mineral and empyreumatic notes (wood, China ink), cassis, myrtle, sloe and red fruits. Some spicy hints. In crescendo evolution over some tasty and expressive tannins, without any astringency. Medium-high body. Powerful finish, reminiscent of mineral aromas.

Ideal to combine with pasta and mushroom sauce, grilled red meats, stews and cheeses.

Alcohol: 14%

65% Tempranillo and 35% Garnacha.
