Bodegas Chivite Pago de Arinzano La Casona Red
Hailing from Navarra - not the car but the region in Spain - this is at the more 'beefcake' end of the spectrum for Bodegas Chivite. There's loads of plush dark fruits on the nose, with hints of olives, tobacco and mocha, which pretty much translates to the palate flavours. It's all wrapped up in fine sandy tannins, poised acidity, and a smooth chocolaty finish. It's a complex number that will improve in the cellar for a few years.
75% Tempranillo and 25% Garnacha.
