This offering from the stable of Dominio de Pingus is certainly in the more musclebound vein of tempranillo. There's a mountain of dark, brooding fruits in this wine, with a liberal dose of curry spices and a touch of earthy savouriness. The palate is more full-bodied, with fleshy dark cherry flavours, fine, solid tannins, and a long, long finish. This will cellar for a few years.
Smoky purple fruits, lifted red cola over meat glaze and deep woodily-wizened aromas of old vines. Beautifully earthy to smell and taste, full and bright, laden with dark cherry fruit. A fine, elegant and polished Ribera.
