Braided River Marlborough Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2008 Vintage) says
Quite a spicy, earthy style of pinot with a little musky lift across the top adding colour and interest, some leafy nuances too. The palate's reasonably taut to start out and then opens to simple, light cherry/berry flavour. Not especially concentrated but balanced all the same.

This well-priced Marlborough pinot looks the part with bright crimson colour, aromas sail out with sweet cherry fruit leading the charge, impressive lift and verve, some wild raspberries and sweet oak spice. Supple palate and simple light tannins. Easy-drinking style, very fruit driven.

Matthew Jukes & Tyson Stelzer (2007 Vintage) says
Fresh and clean with red berries and pretty, lifted rose petal notes on the bouquet, there is a lightness of touch and delicacy which is compelling in this wine. It gently caresses the palate, as opposed to ram-raiding it at speed. This is the only NZ Pinot under $20 worth even looking at.We would love there to be more, and we ask everyone to play ball, but this is the one wine that we recommend to you this year.
