James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; the light, almost grassy, bouquet has a wisp of reduction, but the palate more or less rights the ship, with crisp citrus, a touch of melon and an airbrush of oak. Despite its 13° alcohol, the wine lacks ripeness; this is perhaps not surprising given the vintage.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Light to medium yellow-green; the bouquet is quite fragrant though delicate; happily, the oak is subtle. The palate has delicate melon fruit, with pleasant acid balance and the barest suggestion of oak; nicely restrained, and should cellar well.

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; the bouquet is quite intense, with a mix of unusual mineral characters plus more conventional fruit. The palate moves into familiar territory, with sweet melon and nectarine fruit braced by crisp acidity; the oak is barely perceptible at any point.

James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; the bouquet is spotlessly clean, of light to medium intensity, with melon and citrus fruit; almost imperceptible oak. The palate is similarly lively, fresh and clean, with attractive melon and citrus flavours, and a clean finish.
