Bress Silver Label Cabernet Sauvignon

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This has to be one of the best value cab savs doing the rounds at the moment! Hailing from an awesome year on the Yarra Valley, it shows typical cabbish smells of blackcurrants, florals, tobacco leaf and subtle dried herbs on the nose, whilst the palate is medium-bodied and tightly-packed with dark fruits and Chinese five spice, a nice line of fine tannins, and a tight, never say die finish. This will cellar for at least 5-7 years! But decant if drinking it young.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Intense crimson with great depth.

Nose: The wine offers a complex array of fruit aromas of cassis, violets and capsicum. There are oak aromas of cigar box and spice.

Palate: The wine is tightly packed with cassis and violet flavours which are complimented by the considered use of oak which confers a firm tannin structure.

Cellaring: The wine has concentration, focus and power and will reward cellaring for 6 years or more.
