Brokenwood IV-BC76 Chardonnay

Cracka Review

The colour is starting to take on a deeper hue from the 4 years bottle age. The aromas are now quite complex with typical Chardonnay ‘bacon bone’ and tropical fruits. The oak sits in the background and adds a char/smoky element. The palate has excellent weight, alcohol and glycerol balance. The acid structure gives a long mineral finish. A great example of Brokenwood’s complex, barrel fermented Chardonnay that will further build richness although best window of drinking is now and over the short term. A top food wine.
