James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Excellent crimson-purple; the grapes for this beautifully crafted wine come from the 143-year-old hillside, red soil vineyard of Rod and Deeta McGeoch; there is absolute symbiosis between the dark fruits, tannins and oak of the medium-bodied palate, with the finish long and faultless.

Light, clear crimson-purple; from a 42-year-old vineyard on a steep slope; very well made, with savoury/earthy regional fruit characters offset by sweet vanillin oak and ripe tannins. Indefinite life ahead.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
From a single dry-grown, 41-year-old vineyard owned by the McGeoch family. Vivid, clear crimson colour introduces a medium-bodied wine with fragrant berry fruits on the bouquet plus a punch of earth, and an elegant palate shaped by the savoury tannins that run through its length. Born and bred to stay.
