Hunter Valley icons, Brokenwood, add a little savvy to their sem in the bright, crisp, 11.5% alcohol wine. It's citrusy, a tad tropical, and a little bit grassy on the nose, whilst the palate is a lemon explosion, with flavours of melons and guava, that grassy character bursting through the middle, with zippy acidity, and a fresh finish. It's a dead set bargain, and great for the warmer months.
A blend of premium regions, this wine has lifted tropical fruit and a long finish. The colour is of pale yellow/ greenish tints showing the bright clear sparkle of youth. A subtle herbaceous, grassy nose gives way to medium bodied easy drinking palate with fresh crisp acidity.
Perfect with freshly shucked oysters, grilled whiting fillets with lemon or steamed asparagus with crumbed feta. Drinking well now but will improve with further bottle age.
