Brokenwood Three Sovereigns Shiraz

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Brokenwood keep the value hits coming with this bonny, elegantly styled shiraz that hails mostly from Langhorne Creek in South Australia. Cherries and pepper spice adorn the nose at first sniff, followed closely by some earthy and dark chocolate hints. The palate is fruity and gracefull, with a sweet fruit centre, mellow tannins, and a soft, spiced finish. Great with the mid-week pasta dinner.

Winemaker's Notes

Mid density colour with purple edges. Aromas of red cherry, spice and earthy edges. Mid weight palate and soft Shiraz richness. The oak regime is mainly older American and French so limited impact although some vanillin on both nose and palate with a long sweet finish. Excellent fruit flavours and balance being the features of the wine.

Rich seafood, pasta and light meat dishes. A drink now style that will further soften with short term bottle maturation.
