Brown Brothers Red Blend

Expert Reviews

Max Allen & Peter Forrestal (2001 Vintage) says
Tarrango is a hybrid variety bred by the CSIRO to suit the warm to hot growing conditions along the Murray River and has been used by Brown Brothers since 1980 It is a crossing of the Portuguese touriga (one of the key varieties in ports) and sultana (which produces huge volumes of boring cask wines in Australia). This is a delightful, light-bodied red with fragrant, spicy, red berry aromas; is soft, round and juicy, with strawberry, plummy flavours and a refreshing, cleansing acidity. Great easy drinking.
