Cracka Review

The Guillotines is named after a famous surf break in Margaret River and that’s not thee only thing that’s making waves in the region Bunkers Wines have devised a label that embraces surf culture and wine culture and fuses them perfectly. Here’s more proof that Margaret River can do Shiraz well. It’s a right rollicking wave of spicy fruit leading to a firm tannin mouthfeel with lifted cherry flavours, a touch of vanillin oak and really persistent length. Do yourself a favour and drink this with a dish of roast beef.

Winemaker's Notes

Deep red in colour. In the glass, aromas of spicy berry fruits leading to a soft fine palate of rich plum like flavours and a fine vanillin oak finish. Enjoy firm tannins and spicy cherry flavours with a finish that won't leave you gasping for breath. Heads up!

Bunkers Guillotines Shiraz

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Medium depth and hue; there are nuances of spice, and a touch of mint on the bouquet and the light- to medium-bodied palate. Easy style.
Australian Wine Companion 2012
Ray Jordan (2008 Vintage) says
A firmish and tightly held Shiraz with pronounced savoury influences. The palate structure is founded on firmish tannins and fine grained oak. It's a well made Shiraz punching beyond its weight for this quality. Very good.
