Cracka Review

Hailing from the 'Nest in the hills', Mudgee, comes this lighter style of viognier that would be the bomb with some spicy fishcakes. Aromas of white stone fruits, apples, pears and subtle ginger float out of the glass, meanwhile the palate is lighter-bodied and slippery textured, with apricot and citrus flavours, licks of spice, fresh acidity, and a vibrant finish.

Winemaker's Notes

This wine exhibits a delicate floral nose with a hint of French oak. This cool climate wine has retained its mineral acidity which balances the viscosity and texture of the wine on the palate.

Light straw-green; has authentic varietal aromas of apricot and a hint of ginger, backing off somewhat on the palate, but at least avoiding oily phenolics.

Good varietal; lovely apricot bouquet and lively, slightly hot, palate.

Ripe apricot aromas mingle with ginger and jasmine. Powerful, complex and palate.
