C.J. Pask Hawke's Bay Chardonnay

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
For her sub-$20 wine, winemaker Kate Radburnd emphasises Hawke's Bay's citrusy fruit characters ("the fruit should shine through") fleshed out with restrained wood. It's typically fruit-driven style, delicate, crisp and lively, with good body and appley, lemony flavours with plenty of zest and drink-young appeal. Delicious in its youth, the vibrantly fruity 1998 is very fragrant and fresh, with strong, ripe citrus and melon characters, crisp and finely balanced.
