Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
The debut 2009 vintage was hand-picked in the Cromwell Basin and matured in French oak barriques. Ruby-hued, it is floral, vibrantly fruity and supple, with fresh, ripe, moderately concentrated, cherryish flavours, finely textured and offering lots of drink-young appeal. The powerful, concentrated 2010 was transported to Waiheke Island for vinification. Full-coloured, it is mouthfilling, with strong, ripe cherry, plum and spice flavours, fresh and complex, a firm foundation of tannin, and obvious cellaring potential.
