Nick Stock (2011 Vintage) says
Quite a fragrant wine, though the oak seems to dominate the fruit on the nose at this stage of the wine s evolution. Red cherry and plum fruit, and plenty of spice and lift is on show, with a vibrant finish that trails off with ample, sappy oak elements.

Completely charming and settled impression on the nose, with ripe dark cherry, purple berries and boysenberry fruits, and a little spice, nice and fresh. Oak adds dark, graphite-like notes and fresh pencil shavings. Chirpy acidity leads the palate, keeping it crunchy throughout. The oak weighs in with savoury spice and squares the tannin up through the back, finishing with a little grip. Quite structured and best in a few years.

Rich and velvety style with plenty of depth and power to the sweet varietal fruits. 1-2
