This Reserve Pinot from Gippsland is the business. If you are a pinot-phile and love the cherry infused seduction that this variety conjures up, then this is the wine for you. Imbued with all the aromas you’ve come to love about Pinot, including cherry, rhubarb and of course some savoury, earthy tones. Amazing fruit quality on the palate but it needs time in the glass to show it’s true potential. It’s nicely rounded with soft, integrated tannin and natural acid. There’s no better match than a roast duck.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Rich and bright cherry-ruby colour with a deep cherry hue.

Nose: Ripe cherry and rhubarb aromas marry seamlessly with sweet biscuit-like vanilla French oak overlaying a long low note of forest floor and under growth. Reflecting the quality of the extraordinary 2009 season, the nose is rich and intoxicating.

Palate: Tightly wound at first the palate has crisp (just picked) fruit acidity, balanced alcohol, round supple tannins which are ethereal and compelling. Our best effort yet.
