Campbells Cabernet Sauvignon

Cracka Review

Dark crimson. Savoury cherry and red berry fruit with appealing regional characters of mint and eucalypt. Subtle cedar oak is evident in the background. Well weighted, with sweet berry and plum fruit up-front.

Firm cabernet tannins are prominent through the mid palate, with underlying hints of carob and coffee bean, and charry oak on the finish. Enjoy over the coming 8-10 years with traditional roast lamb, or perhaps venison sausage with chunky tomato chutney.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; a savoury, slightly earthy bouquet is followed by a light to medium-bodied palate, with austere cabernet fruit and a touch of oak to provide balancing sweetness; fine tannins.
