Campbells Riesling

Expert Reviews

Jeremy Oliver (2012 Vintage) says
An honest, richer, earlier-maturing riesling whose aromas of apple and lime are lifted by a delicate, pure bouquet of white flowers. It's generous and juicy, very ripe and mouthfilling, with a long, sumptuous presence of brightly lit lime and apple flavour culminating in a tangy lime juice finish.

Jeremy Oliver (2011 Vintage) says
Bright and lively, with more fruit expression than most vintages of this wine. Its fresh, dusty perfume of lemon, lime and white flowers reveals some estery nuances and a hint of slate. Juicy and flavoursome, its moderately long and finely phenolic palate finishes with tight, racy acids and a hint of sweetness.

Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
Uncomplicated but generous, it's juicy, fresh and spotlessly clean, opening with a lively floral scent of pear, apple and a hint of lime. Smooth, round and surprisingly luscious for a riesling, it's bright and intense, finishing with genuine length and a soft acidity.

Has a flowery/spicy varietal character when young limey and something more exotic with a snap of bath powder. Gains texture and matures quickly.

Typically ripe and juicy, this slightly sweet young riesling has a lively floral and lemon drop-like aroma with undertones of lime juice and a hint of spice. It's round and generous, quite broad and mouthfilling, finishing with pleasing length, brightness and lemony acidity.

Lightly dusty aromas of lime juice and fresh apple precede a juicy, clean and refreshing palate whose moderate length of bright pear, apple and peach-like flavour finishes crisp and dry.

Solid wine with plenty of tropical fruit flavour; soft finish.

Jeremy Oliver (2005 Vintage) says
Lightly toasty and confectionary, with lemon sherbet aromas of apple and lime over delicate teabag-like nuances. Round, generous and juicy, its long, shapely and rather succulent palate of tangy lime, apple and lemony flavour finishes with tight, citrusy acids. Simple clean and refreshing.

Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says
Delicately flavoured, generous and mouthfilling, this floral and confectionary riesling is scented with aromas of iced tea and lemon sherbet. Round and approachable, it offers a soft palate of white peach, pear and apple flavour before finishing clean and dry. Enjoyable, if not hugely varietal.
