James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
The blend is unique; it includes shiraz, tempranillo, graciano, tinta cao, souzao and carignan. It is on the lighter side of medium-bodied, but the fruit flavours have considerable life and vitality, largely in the red spectrum; the freshness of the wine is accentuated by the very fine tannins and controlled oak.

A blend of six grapes, masterfully assembled to take the focus off the varieties. Dark berry and black pastille fruit is layered with spice and finely textured tannins, finishing both juicy and honed.

In true 1960s fashion, a block of vineyard was planted with a mix of experimental varieties which has given rise to today's blend of shiraz, tempranillo, graciano, tinta cao, souzao and carignan. The wine's a delicious medium-weight red that showcases a spread of red cherries, plum and raspberry; tannins are fine yet sturdy. It's really more about the region and site than any one variety or flavour. Great all-rounder.
