Elegant, restrained, but long-term port whose tarry, spicy aromas of punchy cassis and plums are a little spirity, raw and stewed. Long and fine-grained, its earthy, savoury palate offers plenty of dark, tarry plum and blackberry fruit before a rather rustic finish of menthol and cough medicine.
