Canterbury House Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2001 Vintage) says
The Pinot Noirs from this North Canterbury producer have typically been plain. Grown at Waipara, the 2001 vintage is medium-full ruby, with crisp, green-edged flavours. It's a solid wine, but lacks real weight, ripeness and depth.

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Light to medium red-purple; the light to moderately intense bouquet has fragrant aromas of plum; the light but elegant palate offers plum, spice and cedar flavours; not forced to be something it is not

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
Grown at Waipara, the 1997 vintage is a mellow, savoury wine with lightish colour and pleasant but not deep strawberry/spice flavours. The 1998 is fuller in colour and flavour, with some spicy, nutty complexities and a firm tannin backbone.
