Capcanes Mas Donis Rosat de Garnacha

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Here we have a drier Rose out of Spain that would be great with some shellfish. Raspberries and assorted red fruit climb out of the glass, along with hints of potpourri, a sprinkle of dried herbs, and a touch of earthy savouriness. The palate is light-bodied, with some fruit sweetness, red berry flavours, fine but soft tannins, friendly acidity, and a decent fruity finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Nose: Red fruit, smoky black tea and geranium drive a savoury, restrained nose.

Palate: Expressive palate with some glycerol, but dry, with fruit tannin and earthy acidity. Nicely framed rose-hip and wild roses and maraschino cherry.

Food: Seafood, fish, chicken, Paella, Risotto, ...or as an aperitif by itself.

Grape Variety: 80% Garnacha, 10% Syrah, 10% Merlot.
