Ray Jordan (2008 Vintage) says
A savoury white pepper aroma is classically Shiraz perhaps more akin to cooler climes. Nonetheless there is excellent soft and supple fruit on the palate with is smooth and seamlessly presented. A juicy red berry flavour with an impressive finish.Ê

Pronounced pencilly oak on the bouquet with red fruits and a touch of cinnamon; the palate is firm, with the oak quite dominant; gravelly tannin and fresh acid prolong the finish.

Ray Jordan (2007 Vintage) says
Succulent and soft rounded shiraz displaying an exotic mix of savoury plum, spices and coffee characters. The palate is firmish with ripe sinewy tannins, showing a slightly grippy character. Still very young but those ripe red berry characters and perfumed cedary oak will emerge with further ageing.

WINESTATE (2007 Vintage) says
Spicy/peppery nose sitting in the ´green end of the spectrum. Beautifully structured palate - nice brooding style.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Youthful and fresh; vibrant colour and mouthfeel on entry suggest a relatively low pH; blackberry fruits and contrasting savoury finish to the initial fruit vibrancy. Confused? So am I.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Not particularly deep colour; an elegant light- to medium-bodied wine with raspberry and blackberry fruit; has balance, but not the power of the first few vintages.
Australian Wine Companion 2007 2006
James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Bright and fresh black cherry and plum in fruit-forward style; somewhat underworked.
Australian Wine Companion 2006 2005
James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Fresh, fragrant red fruits, quite different from the 2001; medium-bodied; excellent fruit/oak balance; fine, soft tannins.
Australian Wine Companion 2005 2004
Ray Jordan (2002 Vintage) says
Excellent varietal shiraz strikes out from the first sniff. The savory earthy plum and dark cherry mix offers a complex mix on the nose. The palate is firm yet with a supple cloak of shiraz wrapped around the solid structural core. Has a certain silkiness you don't often get in Margaret River
Ray Jordan's 2004 WA Wine Guide 2004
James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Intense, dense purple-red; clean, powerful dark fruit aromas drive the bouquet, the palate exuding black plum and licorice and supple, ripe tannins. Should repay extended cellaring. Gold medal Qantas Wine Show of Western Australia 2002.
