Cape Jaffa The Set Shiraz Cabernet Merlot

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Produced biodynamically on the coast at Mount Benson, WA, this is a friendly, fruity wine that displays smells of ripe dark berries and cherries on the nose, with a hint of mocha oak. The palate is fuller-bodied and lush with a sweetly fruited heart, mellow tannins, and a soft, fleshy finish. It's an everyday, fruit-driven style that slips down easy.

Winemaker's Notes

Ripe, fruit-forward nose with chocolaty undertones.

Dense, balanced palate with soft tannins.

Great with a Sunday family BBQ.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Medium red purple; the bouquet and palate offer a complex array of ripe fruit aromas and flavours; as well as some oak influence, there is a touch of sweetness on the finish, both of which add to the appeal of the wine for those cruising around a $15 price point.
