Some slight reduction and hints of chenin's ropey charms here; lighter apples and citrus, and some tropical hints too. The palate's made for goodtime drinking, with fairly strident sweetness and mixed tropical and stone-fruit flavours. Chill down and drink up!

Light citrus blossom bouquet. Nice persistence of leesy, nutty, citrus flavours, followed by a soft, satisfying finish.

There appears to be a significant lift in the Capel Vale wines this year, no doubt reflecting the influence of Larry Cherubino and some disciplined and skilful winemaking. I'm not a great fan of chenin blanc away from France's Loire Valley, but this is clean, fresh and floral, is soft, round and juicy, delicate yet intensely fruity and clearly focused.
