If there’s one thing better than Margaret River Cabernet it’s the addition of Merlot to make it even more supple and tantalising on the nose and palate. Parcels of Margaret River Cabernet and Merlot were fermented before the addition of Petit Verdot to add complexity. It’s rich and satisfying on the nose with dark fruit and earth as well as secondary notes of cedar and spice. The palate is fleshy with cassis and earthy with savoury flavours before a soft tannin finish. Ideal to serve with a beef daube or slow cooked Osso Buco.

Winemaker's Notes

Nose: Complex lifted aromatics with dark fruits and earthiness.

Palate: Cassis, earthy mushrooms; a rich fleshy palate with good length and soft tannin finish.

Food: Rich red meats, casseroles and barbecues or ripe cheese platters and mature hard cheddars.
