Capercaillie Hunter Valley Moscato

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Sweet, fun and spritzy is the theme with this moscato offering, but you could say that about most moscatos. Red berries and musksticks rise from the glass, whilst the palate is light and slightly bubbly with sweetness filling the palate before the soft, smooth finish. Great for starting your party, or ending it, and at 8% alcohol you can reach for that second glass.

Winemaker's Notes

A fresh and zesty wine style with a blush of pink watermelon colour, showing a light spritz on the palate. Ripe berry and musk lolly flavours combined to make this wine an easy drinking style made to enjoy. Made from Muscat of Alexandra, these grapes were traditionally used for fortified wines, our Moscato has been treated as if we were making a white wine, but with the fermentation stopped before the wine has reached dryness.

This results in a lovely light fresh summery drink and at a low 8% alcohol it’s just perfect as an aperitif.
