James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
A wolf (roussanne) in sheep's clothing (colour); it spent 10 months in used French oak, giving texture to its honeysuckle/quince flavours. Will repay cellaring.

James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
A 50/50 blend of roussanne and viognier, planted next to each other and ending in a steep gully ('couloir' in French). It has already developed some colour, but not to an alarming extent, and I am perfectly happy with the idea that the roussanne gives elegance and length, and the viognier highlights quince and peach. 150 dozen made.

Nick Stock (2011 Vintage) says
This is a blend of roussanne and viognier, and it offers a savoury edge across lemon, yellow melon, straw and dried wild yellow flowers. The palate s more to the stone fruit spectrum, with mealy marzipan and light peach here, cider apple too. Chalky finish.
