James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Very attractive blend of redcurrant, blackberry, spice and mocha; elegant, light to medium-bodied; fine tannins, good length. Northern Slopes Zone.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Medium to full red-purple; the moderately intense bouquet has ripe raspberry and blackberry fruit married with gentle oak; the palate fully reflects the bouquet, with no soapy or green characters whatsoever, and finishes with fine, cedary tannins. Grown on high-altitude vineyards in the New England area around Tenterfield and Inverell.

James Halliday (1994 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple, bright and clear; the bouquet shows moderately ripe fruit with some leaf and mint aromas, and slightly assertive oak. The palate is well balanced and structured, with nice soft fruit flavours; contrary to the bouquet, the oak is not aggressive, and the wine finishes with good acidity.
