James Halliday (2013 Vintage) says
The grapes were picked at varying levels of ripeness, the overall impact one of freshness, and a fine web of acidity running throughout the palate; barrel fermentation in French oak has also imparted a touch of struck flint to the bouquet that ricochets around the palate; line, length and balance are of a high order
James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
Vibrant green hue; this wine embodies the very essence of modern Australian chardonnay, poised, precise, complex, layered and refreshing; grapefruit, cashew, fine oak spices and a little charry complexity; the palate is scintillating, with laser-like acidity providing an extremely long and harmonious ride from start to finish.

James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Vibrant green hue; the bouquet is a complex blend of grapefruit, cashew, citrus blossom and charcuterie; the medium-weighted palate is fresh and zesty on entry, with a strong mineral accent and savoury note in harmony with the fruit; long, linear and toasty on the finish.

Another superb chardonnay from these guys. Delve into the bouquet and you find plenty. Roasted cashew, nectarine and stone fruit with a touch of slaty minerality. The palate is precisely held with fine acid, excellent oak integration and that lovely fruit intensity. This is an excellent wine for midterm cellaring.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; the characters of the bouquet are more than usually complex, melon and pear intruding into the more usual white peach/grapefruit sanctum; the palate is very focused, linear and tightly wound, sucking fruit and oak into its vortex like a black hole in space. The possibility of a spectacular future is evident.

Excellent example of a classy Pemberton Chardonnay. Has long clean lines with deep riches of stone fruit and creamy cashew. The palate has a slightly smoky spiciness and the finish is very long. Finishes bone dry. Excellent wine.

Clean, crisp and fresh, the whole focus on the delicate citrus and stone fruit flavours, supported and lengthened by vibrant acidity on the finish.
