Ceretto Dolcetto d'Alba DOC Rossana

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

If you are looking for something soft and fruity to drink that's a little outside the norm, then this dolcetto will be up your alley. There's plenty of dark cherries and florals on the nose, along with a touch of soft spice. The palate is medium-bodied and elegant, with spiced fruit flavours, gentle tannins, friendly acidity and a decent floral-like finish. These wines are very versatile with food and will match with everything from salmon to bangers and mash.

Winemaker's Notes

This wine is characteristically fresh on the nose, evoking perfumes of just-pressed wine, rich with intense notes of small red fruits. In the mouth the structure is immediately noticeable, accompanied by a pleasant acidity, elegance and softness. This Dolcetto finishes with a slightly brusque, almond aftertaste, typical of the variety.

Ruby red, with a delicately vinous nose, packed with flowery and fruity sensations. Its dry taste is highlighted by a slight almond note, typical of this varietal’s character.

The Rossana vineyard, on the outskirts of Alba, has always been considered the top Dolcetto d’Alba cru.
