Chalice Bridge Margaret River Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

If you are looking for value in Margaret River, which sometimes can be a little hard to find, then look no further than the wines from Chalice Bridge where quality is matched by some sharp pricing. This Sem Sauv blend is still fresh and light on its feet with some beeswax, citrus complexity. Clean and pure it is ready for drinking with some freshly cooked salt and pepper calamari straight off the BBQ.

Winemaker's Notes

Colour: Pale straw with slight green hues.

Nose: Lovely intense citrus and nettles, with great depth of fruit showing cut grass and hints of Lychee.

Palate: A fresh, bright and balanced wine showing beautiful gooseberries, lychees, green apples and a touch of nettles, finished with just the right amount of lovely limey acid, resulting in a clean refreshing finish. Typical southern Margaret River and classic Chalice Bridge Estate, producing a full taste sensation.

Food Suggestion: Try the Semillon Sauvignon Blanc with succulent Scallops and fresh asparagus.

Chalice Bridge Wine Awards & Accolades

"A classic. The nose has an abundance of gooseberry, lawn clippings and sweet herbs. Mouth-watering earthy, gooseberry flavours and steely notes."  4 Stars. - Winestate Magazine - May/June 2009
