We don’t say this very often at Cracka, actually I don’t think I’ve said it yet but the whole series of Chalice Bridge Chapmans represent not only some really quite lovely wines but some of the best value under $10 value going round. This is not one of those wishy-washy Merlots – rather it is robust and full flavoured with oodles of blackberry fruit finishing long and strong. A big Merlot yes and a very good drink.
A deep ruby colour with it aromas of black olive and blackberry with some creamy French oak overtones. Elegant and perfumed with intense, rounded dark fruit flavours in a medium weight package finishing silky and smooth with genuine length.
